The Solution
To answer this brief two basic flash animations were produced:-
- An introduction Splash screen
- A virtual School Tour
The Introduction Splash Screen
This involved scanning the School logo into Photoshop, then breaking the image up into several constituent images, these were then imported into flash and assembled to resemble the school logo. each of these separate image elements were then separately animated along the timeline to produce the finished effect.
The Virtual School Tour
This flash animation incorporated the first animation as an introduction, after visitors clicked on the Tour Our School Button, the first page of the interactive virtual school tour is displayed, visitors them navigate through the tour by clicking on hidden hotspot links, in corridors and doors to simulate the actual journey through the school. once the visitor has entered a classroom, they can navigate through a gallery of several images, showing different activities that take place in that classroom. An alternative navigation system is using hotspots hidden in the plan of the school.
Accessing the Virtual school Tour
All Visitors to the School Website are required to do is click on the hyperlink on the homepage, the school tour then opens in the content frame of the browser window.
